With so many florists to choose from, I get it, it can be overwhelming. Here are a few reg flags to look out for when planning your wedding:

1. 🚩 No clear pricing or minimum spend upfront
Transparency matters. If a florist avoids discussing costs early, you risk hidden surprises later.

2. 🚩 Slow replies or poor communication
Your wedding flowers aren’t something you should be chasing. Efficient, clear communication is key to a smooth experience.

3. 🚩 Saying ‘Yes’ to everything
It’s our job to guide, not just agree. A good florist will gently steer your ideas to what’s realistic, seasonal, and best suited to your venue – not simply say yes to win the booking.

4. 🚩 Doesn’t ask about your venue or overall wedding style
Without understanding your space and aesthetic, how can they design flowers that feel like they belong there?

🚩 Limited flower knowledge or only suggesting basic blooms
If they’re just offering roses and gyp, it’s a red flag. A good florist will educate and inspire you with thoughtful, creative options.

🚩 Overpromising at low prices

Lets break this down, yes physically, flowers dont last, but the band doesn’t leave with you at the end of the evening and once you’ve eaten the food, its gone, and I bet you wouldn’t debate spending a large proportion of your wedding budget on your food. So why is there this misconception about flowers?

Heres the truth, more often than not, couples will unknowingly and unintentionally spread their budget too thin by having low impact florals everywhere. For example, a common request is foliage on beams and chandeliers. I will tell you now what I tell all my couples.. No-one is looking up a beautiful chandelier thinking ‘That could have really benefited from some foliage’🧐😆

It was a vibrant Spring wedding, starting with a ceremony outside the stunning backdrop of the gatehouse. It was a beautiful colourful celebration of love!

I absolutely adored this setup, from the ombré arch columns to the wild centrepieces and I think this bouquet is up there with one of my favourites.

What happens on the run up to your wedding?

Well, I have my first wedding of the year this week, its a vibrant Spring palette so lots of pops of colour! This is what the next few days look like:

Today all the flowers arrive which will need full conditioning & a rest after their transportation, this means unpacking & cutting & stripping every stem of leaves, and placing it in water.

Tomorrow the fun starts with the design prep. 10 centrepieces, 10 floor meadows and bouquets to make.

On the wedding morning it will be delivery and setup along with building an arch on site.
Saturday will be takedown & collection of the arch.

There are no hidden fees with me.
The conditioning, design prep, delivery & logistics are all aspects of the labour charge added to your quote ☺️

My Terms and Conditions require full florist exclusivity at your wedding. Why?

I assure you that I’m always about collaboration and teamwork, not competition. However, when suppliers are credited on the final design, it may become challenging to accurately credit all the businesses that contributed to the flowers. (Think hired artificial flower backdrops, alongside fresh table centrepieces, etc.) Mixing fresh and artificial flowers can create an inconsistent visual effect. I’ve spent a long time perfecting my skills, so I don’t want to be named for a service I didn’t provide, or have a supplier have credit for my work.

When you choose one florist to handle all your flowers, you ensure a consistent style, colour palette, and quality throughout your entire wedding. Back in 2021, Hannah & Vincent threw the ultimate wedding reception at Hannahs family home.
The available space was incredible, Hannah wanted to use the tennis court for the wedding breakfast, so I suggested we use the hedge as the top table backdrop.

With a ridiculous amount of flowers and foliage added in, my team transformed the hedge into a beautiful 110foot backdrop!

Still absolutely love this transformation🙌🏼
